| Subject: No chance for Gwen Giabbani? Sun May 20, 2007 9:20 am | |
| From what I gather, the decisions taken by KRT have meant that Giabbani would never have a chance of winning the World Championship, as you need to compete in all the rounds to stand a chance - if you fail to race in any round, you're effectively barred from the World Championship, no matter what points you may have at the end of the day...am I wrong?
If this is right, I bet that Gwen is regretting his decision to join KRT for the 2007 season, no matter what amount he's reputed to be paid - after all, the reason you race is to win, not to earn a wage.
What are the rules for the 2007 season? I've been reading the Endurance Sporting Regulations and still can't be sure of what's going on...can a rider be considered NOT a World Champion even if the team win the Championship? | |
